Hi, my name is Candace, and I’m a licensed cosmetologist and Natural Hair Care Specialist based in Charlotte, NC. At A Step Above Beauty Hairtique, I believe that hair care begins with belief, intention, consultation, and a clean foundation. Healthy hair doesn’t start with styling—it starts with a proper wash and scalp care. Every appointment begins with an initial consultation to understand your hair needs, followed by cleansing and preparation that supports long-term results. That’s why every service I provide includes a professional wash that promotes healthy growth and a balanced scalp. When the hair and scalp are properly cared for, true hair care can begin. My approach to hair goes beyond appearance. I specialize in natural hair care, scalp health, keratin smoothing systems over relaxers, protective styling, loc care, and long-term maintenance, with a strong emphasis on education. Cancellation Policy

Rescheduling Policy: Should the client wish to change their scheduled appointment, the deposit will be carried over to the new date(s) and time(s), provided there is availability. Requests for rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to the originally scheduled appointment. Please note that the deposit can only be transferred once for rescheduling purposes. This policy is in place to ensure that all clients have the opportunity to secure preferred service times and dates. In the event that the client cancels, the full deposit will be non-refundable. Conversely, should I, Candace, initiate a cancellation, the deposit will be refunded in its entirety.
